How to write the perfect thank you note Part I

Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to get the thank you note sorted.  Done write, it is masculine and thankful.  Done wrong it can be downright offensive.  So this is your cheeky three part guide to how to delivery the perfect thank you note.

Let’s start with the stationary.  Unfortunately a scrap of paper, or a few sheets of Xerox’s finest nicked from the work printer just doesn’t cut the mustard.

Our choice is some personalised stationary from Smythson.

We suggest the personalised correspondence cards.  Smythson was founded in 1887, and opened it’s first shop on New Bond Street in London.  They specialise in stationary and leather goods.  Clients have included Royals, Prime Ministers, and Sir Edmund Hillary.

Today the quality is still top notch.  They can offer monogrammed leather goods, most of the work is done in their Bond Street store in full view of all of the customers.

Tomorrow’s part, will be all about finding a pen man enough for the job.
